Legions in Warsaw

On 1st December 1916, Polish army marched through the streets of the old capital for the first time in many decades. However, very soon a conflict between Piłsudski's Legions and the Central Powers arose. Warsaw remained occupied by Germany. Independence was regained only two years later.
